Waldron Fitness Center, Freedom First Credit Union and Eastmont Community Foundation presents the 40th Annual Shawsville Independence Day 5k Run/Walk and Fun Run starting and finishing at Old Town Fields in Shawsville, VA on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Join us Independence Day for a 5K through beautiful Shawsville, VA. This year the annual race is sponsored by Waldron Fitness Center, Freedom First Credit Union and Eastmont Community Foundation. Choose to run the race in person at 8:00 AM on July 4th or run virtually sometime between July 1, 2022 to July 4, 2022.

The Shawsville 5K course is one of the flattest road courses in the area. The course follows Old Town Road West then loops onto US 460 and back onto Old Town Road for the return leg back to Old Town Fields. There is one small hill at ~2.5 miles followed by a long gentle downhill to the finish. The course is essentially a simple loop through and around Shawsville.

The cost to enter is $30.00 in advance or $35.00 on race day.

Online registration closes at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

T-shirt are guaranteed for participants registered before Saturday, June 25th. Race awards will be given out.

The event is rain or shine.
