The YMCA at Virginia Tech presents Welcoming Week with their kickoff event Welcoming Hour on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the YMCA's The Lancaster House.

Let us welcome you to the community when you drop in anytime between 4:00-6:00 PM for coffee, tea, chat, pick up a welcoming bag of coupons & resources and connections to your new home.

The YMCA at Virginia Tech, along with local partners, will host a week of activities for Welcoming Week, September 10-19, 2021. Welcoming Week is a national celebration that brings together immigrants and U.S.-born residents at community-based events to promote cross-cultural understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone!

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The YMCA at Virginia Tech in partnership with the Town of Blacksburg, Blacksburg Library, Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation, Blacksburg Newcomers Club and Literacy Volunteers of the NRV are hosting a week of activities for Welcoming Week.

The Lancaster House is located at 403 Washington Street in Blacksburg, VA.
