Description:
Science on Tap - New River Valley presents "Almost al of my friends are dead... fossils" on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Rivermill in Blacksburg, VA.
Join us for fun, trivia, and a fossil show-and-tell with local award-winning science communicator Brenen Wynd and hear stories from his field work in Argentina. Wynd is a paleontology graduate student at Virginia Tech, who was one of three winners of the university's Center for Communicating Science's 2018 Nutshell Games.
Admission is free and open to the public. Food and drink are on your own.
Science On Tap New River Valley community celebrates scientific thought and explores new discoveries through monthly events with a featured researcher. We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together, and mingle.
