Description:
The Radford Public Library presents Radford Reads with Tim Poland on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
Radford University Professor Emeritus Tim Poland will speak at the library about his new novel, "Yellow Stonefly".
Book Synopsis:
Haunted by her past and the deaths that marked it, Sandy Holston wields her fly rod with uncanny accuracy as her life plays out along a tight line between herself and a fish on the other end. In this rare fly fishing novel with a female protagonist, Tim Poland weaves suspense and introspection into an unforgettable read.
Tim Poland grew up in Ohio and now lives and works in the New River Valley near the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia. He is the author of two novels, "Yellow Stonefly," forthcoming from Swallow Press in October of 2018, and "The Safety of Deeper Water" (2009). Two earlier books are "Escapee" (2001), a collection of short fiction, and "Other Stones, Kinder Temples" (2008), a chapbook of poems. His work has also appeared in a wide variety literary magazines. He is Professor Emeritus of English at Radford University.
