Peacock-Harper Culinary History Friends and Virginia Tech Libraries present "Tomato Pathways From the Andes to Apennines to Appalachia: Following the Agricultural Value Chain" on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Newman Library's Multipurpose Room on the campus of Virginia Tech.
From seed to market, the speakers, Johanna Cricenti, Pat Lust and Angela Neilan, will swap stories, tips and trivia while exploring the botanical, economic and cultural value of the world's most treasured horticultural crop via global food pathways to our local gardens and kitchens.
The program will include tomato tastings for attendees.
Admission is free and open to the public.
