The Meadowbrook Public Library presents the program "Changing History: Christiansburg Institute" on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Reverend Kenneth Wright will speak about the desegregation of schools in Montgomery County and the closing of the Christiansburg Institute.
Reverend Kenneth Wright is retired after 42 years of being the pastor of the First Baptist Church, Gainsboro. He is a native of Elliston and graduated from Christiansburg Institute in 1959 and graduated from Roanoke College in 1977.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
