Description:
The YMCA at Virginia Tech presents Y Hikes at Angel's Rest on Sunday, September 17, 2017 starting at the Angel's Rest Parking Lot.

Join the YMCA at Virginia Tech for a hike to Angel's Rest. It is an uphill trail, but the view from the top is definitely worth it! In total, the hike will be 5 miles long.

The hike will start at the trail's parking area at 9:00 am.

And bring water, snacks, and good hiking shoes.

For carpooling (or if you'd like to follow other cars there), meet at the Lancaster House at 8:15 am.

Note: There is very limited parking available.

Directions:
Take 460 West, and near Pearisburg take the exit for VA-100 South, turn right onto Johnston Avenue, and immediately right again onto Morris Avenue (SR 793). Drive one mile and there will be a small gravel parking area big enough for 2-3 cars where the Appalachian Trail crosses the road.

YHikes occur on the third Sunday of every month at locations throughout the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia.
