Description:
The Radford University Planetarium presents a Saturday Planetarium Kids Show titled "One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure" on Saturdays in September from September 16, 2017 through September 30, 2017.
Especially appropriate for younger audiences, ages 3-7 in particular! The show follows Sesame Street's Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky with Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from Zhima Jie, the Chinese co-production of Sesame Street. Together, they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the Moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth.
One World, One Sky is a brilliant spectacle of light and color as the furry friends watch the stars twinkle over Sesame Street. "One, World, One Sky" is a production of Adler Planetarium, Sesame Workshop, Beijing Planetarium, and Liberty Science Center and was produced with major support from the National Science Foundation.
All shows start with a tour of the nighttime sky as well as some other amazing sights in space using our full-dome Digistar 5 projection system. Many of these are following by a professionally produced dull-dome multimedia shows on various exciting astronomical topics.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
