The Blacksburg Contra Dance presents their May 2017 Contra Dance with Swallowtail on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the YMCA at Virginia Tech.

Swallowtail and George Marshall are on tour and stopping in Blacksburg to play for the May Dance on a special time and dance!

Swallowtail is a New England-based contradance band. They have been playing together as Swallowtail since 1978, and have released three albums.

They play regularly in and around the Pioneer Valley Area and are available for weddings, parties, and dances, or whatever else people need good music for.

There will be no official beginners' workshop, but there will most likely be some experienced dances that will arrive early to help the first timers and beginners.

No partner required and all ages are welcome.
