The Blacksburg Library offers Paws to Read with VT Helping P.A.W.S. (Pet Assisted Wellness Services) on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

VT Helping P.A.W.S. volunteer Dr. Corrigan brings her certified therapy dog for individualized reading time.  Children who are struggling to improve their reading skills are often greatly comforted and encouraged by a wagging tail!  Bring your young reader and a book with which they are already familiar and meet the Golden Retriever, Yogi. Reserve a 10 minute reading slot for your child by calling 540-552-8246 or emailing Elizabeth at esensabaugh@mfrl.org.  Walk-ins are also welcome and will be scheduled in the order in which they are received.
