Description:
The Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design students will be partnering with the Honors Residential College Soup Knights to put on an Empty Bowls Event in Hillcrest Hall on Friday, November 15th.

Handcrafted pottery will be made by students and other craftsmen and will be available for purchase with a bowl of soup. The event is open to students, faculty, and the public. And kids are welcome!

All proceeds raised will go to Micah's Backpack. This great nonprofit organization addresses children's hunger issues by partnering with local schools to provide direct assistance to students. Each week during the school year, students receive a backpack filled with enough food for the weekend. Money raised during Empty Bowls will make a true impact in your community and reach children of the New River Valley.

So come eat, be merry, and then leave with the hand crafted bowl of your choice; a lasting reminder of all who are hungry.

Tickets are $10 and include soup, bread, drinks and a handmade bowl.
