The Cash Mobs are free however the goal is for everyone to spend money at the to be determined locations to encourage shopping local.

Description:
Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. is partnering with the YMCA at Virginia Tech for a Cash Mob on Wednesday, October 23rd meeting at 6:12 pm at the benches in front of Mike's Grill in downtown Blacksburg.

ALL are welcome! Please bring winter coats especially children's sizes to donate to the YMCA.

This is a family friendly event so bring the kids.

In addition to supporting this wonderful LOCAL nonprofit group the Cash Mob will also visit two locally owned downtown businesses- one for shopping and one for the “aftermob” celebration!

The event is rain or shine. All are welcome!

Rules of the event:
• Meet three people you didn't know before
• Spend up to $20
• Support local businesses
• HAVE FUN!

The Cash Mobs go to a local business on a specific date and time and give them an extraordinary time of patronage! Afterwards, we'll all go and get to know each other over a drink or snack at one of our local watering holes! No need to spend a ton of money, but just join in by being a patron of any level. A real way to be a true part of our downtown community.
