Description:
The Virginia Tech Department of English Visiting Writers Series presents a reading by author Rick Moody on Thursday, October 10th at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute.

Rick Moody is the author of Garden State, The Ice Storm, The Ring of Brightest Angels Around Heaven, Purple America, The Black Veil: A Memoir with Digressions, The Diviners, Right Livelihoods: Three Novellas, and The Four Fingers of Death. His short fiction and journalism have been anthologized in Best American Stories 2001, Best American Essays 2004, Best American Essays 2008, Year's Best Science Fiction #9, Year's Best Fantasy, and the Pushcart Prize anthology. He has taught at the State University of New York at Purchase, the Bennington College Writing Seminars, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the New York Writers Institute, and the New School for Social Research. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
