This educational session will cover many different aspects of this common, yet often misunderstood, health problem. The program will explore depression causes, symptoms, and prevalence; address individual, family, and society level impacts of this mental illness; and present practical ideas for how each one of us can help break through stigma to enhance community response to depression.
