Join the Blacksburg Square Dance at the YMCA at Virginia Tech's Stuart Event Room on 1000 North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA on Saturday, November 2nd.

Enjoy the NRV’s community square dance with caller Ginger Wagner and live music from the Happy Hollow String Band with fiddler Emily Reisinger.

In addition, the Blacksburg Square Dance will be presented with a banner acknowledging their recent inclusion as a Crooked Road Affiliated Venue. Affiliated Venues represent the best in traditional music gatherings that the region has to offer. The Crooked Road will present the banner to representatives of the Blacksburg Square Dance at 9:00 pm.

Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance, sponsored since 1981 by the Old-time Music and Dance Group of Blacksburg, presenting the finest square dance callers and old-time bands to bring you the oldest and funnest dance in Virginia!

All dances taught by a caller- no partner or dance experience needed. This is a student and family-friendly, non-smoking event. Children under 12 are free.
