Description:
The Entrepreneur Club at Virginia Tech presents Heyo CEO Nathan Latka with "Growing a 1M+ Startup in Under a Year from Your Dorm Room" in room 320 at Lavery Hall on Wednesday, September 25th.
If you're interested in launching your own startup, never working for "the man", and think you're more badass than Edward Snowden, come hear the story of how 23 year old VT student, Nathan Latka, created Heyo (a software startup) from his Barringer hall dorm room while managing a class load of 26 credits.
The discussion will focus on how Latka teamed up with co-founders, established equity splits, got the first product out the door, grew it to 2000+ monthly paying customers, reached 200,000 total users, and used the Entrepreneur Club at Virginia Tech to grow faster than companies in Silicon Valley.
The company went on to raise $550,000 from top tier investors like David Cohen, 500 Startups, and the founder of Rackspace, Pat Condon. Based in Blacksburg, the company helps businesses drag and drop marketing campaigns together for Facebook and mobile apps.
All are welcome.
The room sits 75 so be sure to show up early to get a seat.
