Radford University's Art Department presents an alumna exhibit "Beyond the Tartan" featuring the art work of painter Suzanne Guppy in Gallery 205 located within Porterfield Hall.
She calls her series "Poetic Internet: Synthesizing Painting and Drawing" and a primary concern in her work is interconnectivity. The drawings analyze complex natural motifs and search for interconnections in nature. The paintings are almost the opposite -- constructed motifs with only a few items arranged on a table. However, the subject is the same: the network of connections between the objects and the space they are in.
The exhibit will be on display and available for viewing through October 18th.
