Description:
Radford University's Art Department presents an Art Reception for "Beyond the Tartan" by artist Suzanne Guppy on Monday, September 9th in Gallery 205 located within Porterfield Hall.

She calls her series "Poetic Internet: Synthesizing Painting and Drawing" and a primary concern in her work is interconnectivity. The drawings analyze complex natural motifs and search for interconnections in nature. The paintings are almost the opposite -- constructed motifs with only a few items arranged on a table. However, the subject is the same: the network of connections between the objects and the space they are in.
