The Blacksburg Historic Lecture Series continues with a historic lecture titled "Soils & Flora at Smithfield" on Thursday, September 19th at the Historic Smithfield Plantation.
Dr. John Galbraith is an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech in the Crop & Soil Environmental Studies Department, he will be presenting a site lecture on the soils of Smithfield and who they impacted the plantation as a whole in terms of buildings and crops.
The Historic Lecture Series is cosponsored by the Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation and Historic Smithfield Plantation.
