Please join us for the 2013 Hammond Lecture by Professor Laura Nasrallah in 3100 Torgersen Hall on Thursday, October 17th. All are welcome.
Prof. Nasrallah's is professor of New Testament & Early Christianity at the Harvard Divinity School). Her research and teaching bring together New Testament and early Christian literature with the archaeological remains of the Mediterranean world, and often engage issues of colonialism, gender, status, and power. Among her current projects are a book on archaeology and the letters of Paul and a commentary on 1 Corinthians for the Hermeneia series. Another project focused on uses of the New Testament in U.S. popular culture and politics.
All are invited to join an open reception at the Torgersen Museum (1st floor) at the conclusion of the lecture.
