Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival concludes its 21st year on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th and will continue through every weekend in October.
Special activities for the final weekend include:
• All day rocket launching and a special spooky night launch by NRV Rocketry.
• Annual Halloween Parade at 2 pm for children, adults and pets.
• 27 foot tall Rock Wall Climb, 30 foot Saber Tooth Tiger Slide and Mechanical Bull Ride from Daves Moonwalks & More.
• Visit from Hokie Tron and his friends from 1-2:30 pm.
Additionally, you can take a hayride to the patch and select from Virginia’s finest pumpkins (our best crop ever). There is something for everyone: children’s activities, pony and cart rides, horseback trail rides, corn maze, a barn full of farmyard animals, local arts and crafts vendors, and pumpkin cannons. We have colorful face painting for the little ones, local arts and crafts vendors, plenty of tasty, food, the BEST Kettle Korn in the country and ice cream.
Local, live music will begin at 1 pm EVERY WEEKEND AFTERNOON and will feature a variety of sound from some of the area’s best musicians. You can enjoy flash mob experiences which could occur at any time during the five weekends.
The Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival is the regions’s longest running pumpkin festival and is an annual fall tradition that the entire family can enjoy. The pumpkin selection is huge with all sizes, shapes and colors for outstanding fall décor.
The Festival welcomes visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. The corn maze is also open after dark from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fridays through weekends.
Sinkland Farms is located at 3020 Riner Road, just outside of Christiansburg. Take I-81 to Exit 114, travel south on Route 8 towards Riner/Floyd for 2.2 miles. The farm is on the left.
