Description:
Radford University College of Visual and Performing Arts presents Lucio Boschi Artist Talk and Reception on Thursday, September 12th at the Radford University Art Museum located in the Covington Center.
World renowned photographer Lucio Boschi will discuss his Andean photographs and processes. This will be followed by an artist reception at 5:00 p.m.
Argentine photographer Lucio Boschi has largely devoted himself to shooting the mountain people of the Andes and Himalayas, drawn to the simplicity and toughness of their lives and their dramatic surroundings. This show of black-and-white photographs taken in the Andes is one of exceptional and profound beauty. These are not the photographs of an outsider looking at a foreign culture, but rather those of a man who found in small details and ordinary scenes, majesty and mystery. His ease in that world gives viewers remarkable access. This exhibit is made possible by sponsorship by Mendoza Art Partners.
Admission is free and open to the public.
