Downtown Christiansburg, Inc. presents their August Movie in the Park featuring the animated film "Wreck-It Ralph" on Friday, August 23rd at the Downtown Park as part of their Get Down Downtown Summer Event Series. The movie will begin just after dark at approximately 8:15 pm.

Synopsis: A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.

Admission is free. There will be soda and water available for purchase along with complimentary bug spray. Make sure to bring your blankets and chairs and show up early to find the best spot to sit.

Ample street parking will be available on and near College Street.

NOTE: In case of inclement weather, the rain date is the following week, Friday, August 30th.

The Get Down Downtown is the first summer series presented by Downtown Christiansburg Inc., and will be held the fourth Friday of each month from June through September. This year’s series will feature two free movie nights in the park, an art walk, and an evening of live music.

The purpose of the Get Down Downtown series is to give citizens of Christiansburg and surrounding areas access to family-friendly events while bringing people back to the heart of the town.

Downtown Park is located on College Street next to the Armory in Christiansburg, Virginia.
