Description:
The Newport Jamboree continues their 2013 season with bluegrass bands The Porch Loungers and The Ridgeliners on Saturday, August 24th at the Newport Recreation Center.

The Porch Loungers are a Blacksburg based band playing a variety of roots and bluegrass music. For more information, visit: http://www.myspace.com/porchloungers

The Ridgeliners are a new group from Poplar Hollow near Blacksburg, Virginia formed by musician Mike Gangloff of the Black Twig Pickers.

The local Ruritan chapter will be selling concessions including hot dogs, popcorn and drinks and be sure to bring a lawn chair.

We will ask for a $5.00 donation from each adult to cover the bands and park fee. Kids under 12 get in free.

The Village of Newport Ruritan Park is conveniently located 1.4 miles down route 42--keep your eyes peeled for the signs off of 460 West.
