The Town of Blacksburg invites you to join them for their Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show on Thursday, July 4th at Blacksburg Municipal Park.

Enjoy live music, food vendors, children's activities and more.

Entertainment Schedule:
• 6:00 pm: The Blacksburg Community Band, Blacksburg Community Strings and Celebration Chorus.
• 8:00 pm: The Meter's Running (Local Rock and Jazz Band)
• 9:30 pm: Fireworks

Blacksburg Transit provides free shuttle service to activities on July 4th. Independence Day bus transportation starts to and from the Virginia Tech parking lot on Prices Fork road to the left of the parking garage starting at 5 pm and transports to and from Municipal Park.

The celebration is sponsored by the Blacksburg Parks and Recreation.

The annual Independence Day Parade will begin at 2 pm followed by An American Tail at The Lyric Theatre both sponsored by the Mt. Tabor Ruritan Club. At 6 pm, come over to Municipal Park to enjoy music from the Blacksburg Community Band and stay for the Town of Blacksburg’s fireworks display at 9 pm.
