The Town of Pulaski and the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley present the Kick Off for the Jackson Park Concert Series on Friday, June 21st featuring the music of Sound Express and The Legacy Band.

SOUND EXPRESS is a 7-piece high energy band that features dance hits from the 50's to Disco, Motown to current dance hits. THE HOTTEST variety dance and show band available! The Sound Express keeps everyone dancing and having a good time! Featuring the best dance music of Oldies, Motown, Disco, Beach, Country, & Pop, Sound Express showcases the talent of 7 members on Keyboards, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet, Drums and 3 Front Singers--2 female and 1 male.

The LEGACY BAND’S music transcends racial barriers. The Legacy charms audiences young and old with dazzling dancing, bright smiles and four-part harmony. They pay tribute to African-American acts who paved the way, long before they were even born. While singing songs of yester-year, The Legacy enjoys taking audiences back to a time of youth and good intentions.

“Our show is really intense, and I feel like the shows back then were really intense with choreography and dancing and hyping up the crowd,” singer Taylor Pitts said. “That’s what I want to bring back.”

The kick off concert will be from 7:30–10:30 pm with the park opening at 5:00 pm. Sound Express will be first to take the stage and then with a brief intermission The Legacy will perform.

There will be Food Concessions and Adult Beverages available. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of great music in the park.

The Concerts are free; however donations are encouraged to support quality entertainment.
