Description:
Join USDA Forest Service Representative Daniel Pruden for a Nature Walk at Pandapas Pond on Saturday, June 8th at 10 am.
Explore nature at the pond with Daniel Pruden and learn all about the newts who live there. Meet at the little hut at the pond near the bathrooms.
Our programs are geared to the age of the attendees as much as possible. Currently most of our attendees are 6 and younger.
The purpose of our nature programs is to provide an interactive learning situation for both children and parents. We want the children to learn, have fun and have their parent’s full attention while here. This will not only enhance the learning of your own child, it will help provide a learning environment for all children present. So, please sit with and interact with your child as he or she discovers things.
Pandapas Pond is about 15 minutes northwest of Blacksburg, Virginia and located off of US-460.
Directions: From Blacksburg, travel on US-460 West. (About 7 miles) Turn left onto Forest Service Road 808 Follow signs to the lower parking lot
