Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. presents the 2nd Annual ArtCrawl and Scavenger Hunt on Friday, June 7th in downtown Blacksburg.

Please join us for an evening of art, music, and fun. Fourteen gallery spaces will participate in the ArtCrawl Scavenger Hunt which is FREE and open to all! Participants should collect Scavenger Hunt forms at participating galleries, and return completed forms to the Community Arts Information Office (CAIO) located at 149 College Avenue by 8pm.

Prizes will be awarded! Prizes provided by Nest Realty, Sketchy Steven and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc.

Musicians and street entertainers have been encouraged to perform on the sidewalks in various locations throughout the downtown. Rain or shine the place to be for an evening of arts and culture is Downtown Blacksburg! Hope to see you there.

ArtCrawl Scavenger Hunt participating galleries: Armory Art Gallery, Bollo’s Gallery, Burnt Creative Boutique, Capone’s Fine Jewelers, Community Arts Information Office, Eucalyptus Massage Studio, Gillie’s Gallery, Matrix Gallery, Nest Realty, Perspectives Gallery, Pita Vera, The Artful Lawyer A Fine Gallery Inc, The Artful Place and The Gallery at Mish Mish.

Special Events:
Burnt Creative Boutique-Featuring the work of Lorie McCown from Fredericksburg, VA - Fiber artist and painter. Refreshments and Mark Jones on acoustic guitar from 5:30-7pm

Capone's Fine Jewelers- Displaying the work of International Award Winning, local artist Truman Capone. Reception with refreshments.

Community Arts Information Office- Meet the artist Vikki King. Reception and refreshments.

Eucalyptus Massage Center Gallery- Reception to meet the artist, Martha Olson. Enjoy a Singing Bowl demonstration by Sound Massage Practitioner BreAnna Martin at 6pm.


Matrix Gallery- Reception with refreshments for Blacksburg Artist Lacey Brown

Nest Realty- Sketchy Steven will be painting one of our storefront windows during the event! Inside gallery featuring the work of Sean Shannon, photography, and Steven White, sketches paintings. Refreshments and reception.

Old Town Hall- The Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation is featuring Darcy Meeker’s “Masks: Community in Creation” at Old Town Hall (141 Jackson Street) with a reception during the ArtCrawl.

Perspective Gallery- hosting a reception for the exhibit Collective Influence by the artists group Blue Pomegranate from 5 – 7 Friday June 7. Light refreshments will be served.

The Artful Lawyer- Recycled Arts themed show will be on exhibit. Refreshments- coffee & dessert!

The Artful Place Studio- Ribbon Cutting for Amodeo Photography, LLC., refreshments, meet the artists in the various studios onsite.

The Gallery at Mish Mish- Showing the photography of Susan Hensley entitled "Rust", refreshments and meet the artist.
