The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the class Needle felting: Wearable Art and Ornament Workshop with Sarah Reyburn on Saturday, November 23rd.

Class Description:
This class is designed for learners of every level. Using a felting needle and fiber of wool and mohair and embellishments of beads and small found objects from nature, we will construct petit objects d’art which will be suitable to be worn as a necklace or perhaps mounted on a pin back. We will also construct a seasonal tree or year round window ornament. The instructor provides samples of various items and demonstrates completing one project step by step. All materials will be provided for this class, however, participants are invited to bring their own very small embellishments to be used to enhance their creation. Learners will come away from this workshop with the skills they need to further investigate this exciting three dimensional art form.
