The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the class Decoupage: Wearable Art and Ornaments with Sarah Reyburn on Friday, November 15th.

Class Description:
This class is designed for learners of every level. Using high quality papers gathered from various sources, learners will learn to color coordinate and contrast textures and tones and then will create small shapes that will be utilized in constructing unique and one of a kind works of wearable art. Other items used in this project will be jump rings, fine cord of various colors and ribbons and other various small embellishments and acrylic glazes. The instructor will have samples and will instruct the learner in producing a bracelet, a pendant necklace and a hanging ornament. Participants should have the manual dexterity to be able to use an Exacto knife and a pair of jeweler’s pliers to get full benefit from this learning experience. If this is a concern the instructor will assist the learner in using these tools. All materials and tools will be provided by the instructor. Sharing of mini paper punch and jeweler’s pliers will be required and students who own these items are invited to bring theirs along. Learners will come away from this workshop with three items and the knowledge they need to continue to pursue this unique approach to creating original jewelry.
