Description:
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the two day class Plein Air Painting: Landscapes in Your Choice of Acrylics, Oils or Pastels meeting Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13th from 9am-5pm daily.

Class Description:
Enjoy painting in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains at Ambrosia Farm Bed and Breakfast in Floyd VA, where the fall leaves are turning to colorful splendor. The area around the B&B will inspire you and the fresh air will invigorate you as you take this plein air workshop with Michele Warner and James Noel Smith.

For two days we will be painting several small paintings in the simple no fear approach, where you cannot make a mistake. The instructors make suggestions that are most helpful to get you started, and will be demonstrating and helping you as much as you need. You can work in oils, pastels or acrylic, but the artists will be working in oils. So that is the medium recommended by Michele & James.
