The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers the class Introduction to Woodturning with Dennis Ross on Saturday, October 12th.

Class Description:
Ever wonder how a wooden bowl is made? Ever want to try your hand at it? This hands-on one-day course will give you the chance to try many different styles of turning while making bowls, tool handles, and hollow boxes using both dry and green woods. Students will explore different tools and techniques, all designed to give a broad introduction to the full craft of wood turning. Class takes place off-campus at Dennis’s workshop 2.5 miles from the center.
