Ceritano's hosts a three band show featuring Threesound and their guests N.A.R.P. and Merchants of Seven on Friday, April 19th.

Can you imagine a band that plays smooth funky reggae grooves with the song complexity and musicianship of bands like The Dead and The Allman Brothers? Don’t forget that they play with blues rock inspired energy reminiscent of Cream of Joplin. Now I know what you’re thinking...Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Well you’d be right...except there is an elite group of young up and comers whose lyrical content and overall swagger inherent in their music encompasses all of the above. They are known as Threesound.

Formed in the small town of Winchester, Virginia in 2009, Threesound embodies a musical passion that thrives in all music followers. Infectious grooves and harmonious melodies compliment each musicians talent, leading one to wonder how on earth such a young group of kids got so tight. This is Threesound, the band whose music will be respected by mainstream and underground listeners alike.

N.A.R.P formed over the summer of 2012 in Blacksburg, Virginia. We are a jam band with blues, reggae, and dance influences. We play songs from all genres and are currently in the process of writing an EP.

Merchants of Seven is a blend of acoustic/electric reggae and alternative rock. It all started early in 2011 when members Ian Patrick and Wesley Fox lived on the same hall at Virginia Tech. They both heard each other practicing and thought, “Hey, he’s pretty good!” and from there they became the next Page/Plant duo. Both songwriters, Wes and Ian began working together and collaborating on original material. Along the way they picked up an extremely talented drummer, Kevin Ponceloranca, and a phenomenal bass player, Luke Minnich, to complete the group.
