Friends of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library invite you to a program on Saturday, April 20th at the Christiansburg Library at 2 pm to hear Virginia Tech Professor Gail McMillan and Dr. Jean Robbins talk about their book "Dear Nannie...yours devotedly Charlie".

An extraordinary story has been sitting in the Archives for years. Through diaries, letters, manuscript cookbooks, and more, Nannie Figgat and her mother, Martha Mary Godwin, documented their lives in antebellum Fincastle, Virginia, as well as the impact of the Civil War on their families and community.
