Radford University's Sigma Gamma Epsilon Earth Science honor society (CGE) is hosting a series of free public film screenings of the film "Chasing Ice" on on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, at 6 p.m. in the COBE Building, room 320.
Additional screenings will be shown on
Wednesday, April 17, at 6 p.m. in the Hurlburt Student Center Auditorium.
"Chasing Ice" chronicles environmental photographer James Balog’s mission to gather undeniable evidence of climate change. Using time-lapse cameras, he compresses years into seconds and captures ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate.
The film earned Sundance Film Festival's Excellence in Cinematography Award and the Environmental Media Association’s Best Documentary Award
