A veterinarian from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine’s Community Practice Service, Dr. Ng and his therapy dog Grace will demonstrate some easy, at-home, first aid techniques to help you prepare for various pet emergencies. Join Dr. Ng and Grace on Tuesday, April 9th at 6:30 pm at the Blacksburg Library.

Dr. Ng will teach you how to manage an emergency situation for your pet. Learn what to keep on hand in your pet’s first aid kits. Manage minor ailments like vomiting, diarrhea, wounds and poison exposure.

Providing important tips, Dr. Ng will help you decipher which symptoms require an immediate rush to the emergency vet and what information will be most helpful for your veterinarian to help your pet.

First aid is never a substitute for veterinary attention, but this seminar is intended to give you an idea of you how you can better help your pet in the event of an emergency.

Please bring your questions, but please don’t bring your pets! Pets must stay safely at home while you learn techniques and information to benefit their health.
