The Pulaski Theatre will show the classic film "A Streetcar Named Desire" as part of their First Friday Classic Movies series on Friday, May 3rd.
The 1951 Drama winner of five Academy Awards staring Vivien Leigh and Marlon Brando is rated PG. Circumstances lead Blanche DuBios (Vivien Leigh) into paying a visit to her younger sister Stella in New Orleans. Blanche doesn't understand how Stella, who is expecting her first child, could have picked a husband (Marlon Brando) so lacking in refinement. What will happen when Stella goes to the hospital to have her baby and just Blanche and her brother-in-law are left in the house?
The doors open at 6:30 pm and the movie begins at 7 pm.
The Pulaski Theatre is a restored, historic theatre located in downtown Pulaski, Virginia at 14 West Main Street.
