The Christiansburg Library welcomes Professor Wornie Reed to discuss the film "Glory" on Saturday, March 9th.
Professor Wornie Reed, Director of the Virginia Tech Race and Social Policy Research Center, has intriguing, and perhaps surprising, ideas about the film Glory. Following a viewing of the film, Professor Reed will present his analysis of how African Americans are presented on screen. Glory, starring Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman, won four Academy Awards in 1989.
