Description:
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts will host a concert featuring international pianist, Gloria Campaner, on Sunday, March 10, 2013, 4pm in The Jacksonville Center Community Room.

A reception will follow the concert. This concert is part of the center’s 2013 concert series that is being presented by WDBJ7, Your Hometown News Leader.

Ms. Campaner is highly acclaimed by the international press for her “extremely deep musicality, remarkable fluidity, nuancing and sense of style which put her in the ranks of pianists with exceptional qualities” (Walter Arlen – Los Angeles Times). Her rapidly advancing career as a soloist with orchestras and as a chamber musician has led her to be guest of the biggest musical festivals of Europe, Russia, South America and the Far East, always to critical acclaim.

Following her First Prize Award and Prokofiev Special Award from the 2009 Ibla Grand Prize, Sicily, she made her first concert tour of the US and her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010. Subsequently, Ms. Campaner was awarded the Prix de Jury – Franz Liszt in the Casablanca International Piano competition, Morocco, 2011 and was the Silver Medalist of the Paderewski International Piano Competition, Los Angeles, 2010, in which she also received the “Paderewski” and “Chopin” best performance special award, given by the Chopin Foundation of Paris.
