Description:
Virginia Tech’s Department of Theatre and Cinema presents Blinded directed by Julia Katz on Thursday, February 28 - Saturday, March, 2nd at 7:30 pm in Theatre 101.
Blinded is an original Modern Day retelling of the classic Greek tragedy "Oedipus."
Thebes Corp., on the verge of releasing their next addition of their signature product "the Cube", is facing mass accusations from the media that their methods for product manufacturing involve widespread pollution and worker mistreatment, among other things. The new C.O.O. Ed Rex (John Darr) tries to clear the public's mind of these rumors, while also trying to discover the secrets behind the departure of his predecessor and mentor. But will the truth be too much for him to handle? Also starring Sanam Hashemi and Tyler Ward.
There are only three chances to see this original performance. Tickets are FREE to all community members, like all Theatre 101 performances, for anyone in the New River Valley looking to make live art a part of their weekend.
