Description:
Virginia Tech Rec Sports hosts the 3.2 Run for Remembrance on Saturday, April 13, 2013 beginning at the registration, check in and starting point War Memorial Hall.
The Run is free and open to the public. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome. Please note there are no awards and no timing results.
The 3.2 Run in Remembrance is held to remember the 32 Hokies who lost their lives on April 16, 2007. The event strives to bring fellow Hokies together, to feel the support of the community, and to celebrate the lives of our friends and family members.
Walk Up registration is available at War Memorial Hall basketball gym (room 125) on Friday, April 12th from 4-8 pm and Saturday, April 13th from 6:30-8:30 am.
Registration is free. To register online, visit: http://run.recsports.vt.edu/
Please sign the “3.2 for 32” banner at the finish line. We would love for every runner/walker's name on the banner. At the end of the run, we will take a large group photo with the banner on the front stairs of Burruss Hall at 10:30 am (behind the April 16th Memorial). Another group photo will be taken at the start line at approximately 8:55 am.
Commemorative t-shirts will be available to the first 4,000 who registered online. When you show up to Check In, you will receive your shirt. Any shirts that have not been picked up will be available on a first come, first served basis on Saturday morning.
Parking for the event is encouraged in the Perry Street parking lot and parking deck. For more parking information, visit: http://www.parking.vt.edu/
