The Lyric presents the film "Ending Note: Death of a Japanese Salaryman", the second movie to be shown in the Japanese Film Festival series on Saturday, February 23rd.

Ending Note: Death of a Japanese Salaryman is a powerful and emotional documentary from writer/director Mami Sunada. The film has gained much attention and positive critical response both in Japan and on the international film festival circuit. Sunada recorded the last months in the life of her father based on the diary he wrote after having been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Tomoaki Sunada was the typical Japanese sales representative who had worked for over 40 years for the same company and who was found to have terminal stage cancer soon after he retired at the age of 67.

The film was released in 2011 and is not rated.
