Description:
The Blacksburg Striders running club presents the 28th Annual Blacksburg Classic on Saturday, February 16th featuring a 10 Mile Run, 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Registration, packet pick-up and all races start at Margaret Beeks Elementary School located in Blacksburg.

Schedule:
10 am - 12:45 pm - Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up
12:30 pm - 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
1 pm - 10 Mile Run
1 pm - 5K Run/Walk

The 10-mile and 5K are rolling courses through Blacksburg, near the Virginia Tech campus, on roads and paved footpaths. All miles will be marked. Water will be available on both courses.

The first 600 registrants for the 5K and 10 Mile races will receive a long sleeve shirt. All 10 Miler finishers will receive a Classic Finisher Medal. Awards will be provided in various age groups for both genders.

Following the races, free food and beverages will be provided for runners after the race at race headquarters. Awards ceremony and drawings for door prizes will follow as soon as possible after each race.

Note: For Safety reasons, no animals are permitted on the course. Participants with strollers (baby joggers) must start in the back. Head phones are not recommended.
