Friends of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library and The Lyric presents The Barter Theatre's production of "Miss Nelson Is Missing" on Saturday, March 9th.

The free program is open to the public and seating is on a first come, first served basis. There are no tickets or reservations.

Miss Nelson Is Missing is a musical based on the book by Harry Allard and James Marshall, adapted by Joan Cushing. Perfect for kids of all ages.

The Barter Players are bringing a beloved children’s book to life with this exciting musical. Returning to Barter amidst popular demand, this production shows the mischievous students of room 207 as they wreak havoc on pitiable Miss Nelson.

At Horace Smedley Elementary School, the kids of Room 207 are famous... for being bad. Despite the best efforts of their kind teacher, Miss Nelson, these fifth graders wreak havoc each day in the classroom. Spitballs fly, paper airplanes soar, and no one has done their homework in weeks. After one particularly bad day, Miss Nelson simply does not return to school. In her place, comes a substitute teacher who would make a crocodile look cuddly: the nefarious Viola Swamp.
