Gillie's welcomes Outlands and Mirror Kisses to the stage for the Gillie's Late Night Show on Friday, February 15th.

Outlands is a Blacksburg based disco-noir duo playing sultry funk stylings. Outlands (Melissa and Mark) lift inspiration from contemporary smooth jazz acts such as Sade and Toni Braxton. Mark summons dense knobs of sauntering bass over hot clouds of steamy synth and bongo flourishes, while Melissa delivers spot-on silken vocal croons, establishing an ideal setting for the seductive pulse of urban jazz clubs.

Inspired by vampire dance parties and the sense of excess that rocked the 80s, Mirror Kisses from Harrisonburg, Virginia brings dark secrets to light in the old style. Gaining comparisons to Human League and Pet Shop Boys as a result of their 2008 debut "Soaking Wet," producer/songwriter George Clanton and drummer Doug Sexton have reconvened to get dirty forever.
