The Entrepreneurial Open Coffee series will be focusing back on Startup Blacksburg during it's meeting on Thursday, January 10th at TechPad.

In early December, a group of 15+ individuals showed up for the first brainstorming session - http://on.fb.me/Th39aJ. The group discussed and evaluated the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Blacksburg and the New River Valley.

The January 10th brainstorming session will build upon the first session by moving the discussion to solutions and action. The goal is to identify short and long term strategies and tactics our community can employ to strengthen and grow our startup ecosystem. We will also begin recruiting and building a team of local champions to execute the strategies and tactics identified through the session.

Coffee and bagels for the brainstorming session are being sponsored by Montgomery County Economic Development.

Startup Blacksburg is a grass roots movement initiated through the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council that seeks to build a community of entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and startup enthusiasts to support the creation and growth of startups in Blacksburg and the New River Valley.
