Bolo's Cafe & Bakery is trying out live music and welcomes The Moon and You to the stage on Thursday, December 13th.
Melissa Hussein Hyman and Ryan Gertrude Furstenberg have had a long and sordid history, beginning with the formation of Canadian punk band Electric Shark Thermometer. They achieved early fame but were quickly disillusioned with stardom and broke up in the early 1970's due to irreconcilable differences exacerbated by Hyman’s lust for power.
Their second incarnation, The Moon and You, has proved the two haven’t lost their ability to write gripping, intelligent lyrics combined with innovative instrumentation. This time,however, they employ a softer, sweeter sound that has delighted and warmed the hearts of audiences across the nation.
