Description:
The Family Medicine Club of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and the Rotary Clubs of Blacksburg and Christiansburg Clubs, invite Blacksburg and area residents to take the first step to save a life by joining the Be The Match Registry®. A Registry Drive will take place at 2280 Kraft Drive (in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, across from VCOM) on Wednesday, December 12th.
The process is simple with a little paperwork and a cheek swab. To join you must be between the ages of 18 and 44.
For thousands of patients with life-threatening diseases, such as leukemia and lymphoma, a marrow transplant from an unrelated donor is their best or only hope for a cure. These patients depend on the Be The Match Registry to find a match – and a second chance at life.
