The Floyd Country Store hosts their annual New Years Eve Dinner and Dance featuring the music of the Dry Hill Draggers on Monday, December 31st.
The Dry Hill Draggers of Franklin County started with banjo player Jimmy Boyd and his brother, Billy Boyd in 1981. The group has persevered even as some members have passed on. They are popular performers at the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival every year and the Galax Fiddle’s Convention with awards in the Old Time Band category.
Schedule:
Dinner: 6 pm
Dance: 8 pm
Guests can choose to either purchase the Dinner and Dance option or just the Dance option.
The Country Store operates on “Granny’s Rules” – no smoking, no drinking alcohol, no bad language, and no conduct unbecoming to a lady or a gentleman. It’s a great time for the whole family, and you’re likely to see kids from six to ninety-six out on our hardwood dance floor. You may even be one of them.
