Landscape architect Robert McDuffie will present a seminar entitled "The History of Landscape Design" on Thursday, November 8th in the greenhouses next to the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.

According to Robert, Horticulture's own in-house landscape architect: "The history of garden design is a never-ending procession of new ideas planted firmly on top of old ideas--which at the time seemed fresh and innovative--until the next new set of ideas came along. Come and hear how each garden period owes much to its most recent past--AND to the ancients."
